Meet the Maker
I’m Beth, I’m 34 and live in a rural area of NSW Australia, with my husband Jon and dog Borgy. I live in one of the areas that snows here in Aus ( yes it does snow). I moved here to work in the snow industry.
I have been crocheting since I was about 23 yrs old. I was training to become a rock climbing instructor/ abseiling instructor and learned a lot of knots with ropes. I was sitting behind my mother a few weeks later in church when it clicked in my head that they were the same knots, just done with a stick. So I’ve been crocheting ever since!!
Over the last few years, crocheting has kept me distressed especially in the crazy world!! We went from bushfires, floods, Covid, and now back to floods. Each time it got too much I would pick up my hook and start something!
I like to make most, beanies, scarves, shawls, and blankets. Especially Celtic-inspired blankets at the moment.
I’ve designed a few mandala-inspired blankets in the past. I often will just crochet what feels right for me and forget to write it down. So losing my patterns!! Today is the release of my first pattern, but I am gearing up for many more. Follow my Ravelry to be the first to know!
